I also liked Mrs. Montague. Well, I didn't like her but she was such an interesting contrast to her husband. You sort of hate her but then you think, why isn't he doing more? Glad you enjoyed the book!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006395205488837996.post-47870201621189986642014-10-04T23:07:27.856-07:002014-10-04T23:07:27.856-07:00I was surprised how long it took for anything spoo...I was surprised how long it took for anything spooky to happen, but I think that that made it that much more eerie. It was interesting to see the tension build before seeing writing on the walls and poltergeist antics.Gracehttp://bookswithoutanypictures.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006395205488837996.post-72879746000960767512014-10-03T08:26:03.631-07:002014-10-03T08:26:03.631-07:00The whole book really was a slow build, not the ho...The whole book really was a slow build, not the horror I was expecting at all - probably a good thing because I am a chicken, too!

Mrs.Montague was fun... It makes the actual manifestations a little bit scarier, at least in my opinion. Combine that with not knowing if you can really trust Eleanor's perspective, and it makes for a great, suspenseful read.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006395205488837996.post-1433482171787084182014-10-02T05:39:36.708-07:002014-10-02T05:39:36.708-07:00I was surprised too by how slowly the tension buil...I was surprised too by how slowly the tension built in the book. I thought it was great how it was all achieved without any big "gimmicks"... who knew that a cold spot could be so eerie? Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
