Delicious soup in a big bowl on Sunday. Is that not what that means?
Well I am embracing the fact that the husband is working so I got myself out of any Super Bowl obligations this year. Yay! I hope I don't sound unAmerican. I did listen to the halftime show while I cooked. And I read a few chapters of Lone Survivor this morning which has to earn me a few patriotic points (it counts in my husbands eyes at least).
So this is what happened...
I woke up this morning to what I thought was our heater making crazy ass noises only to realize it was rain. RAIN!! Oh my old friend how I have missed you. Not just because we are having a scary draught in CA (but thank you rain for any dribble you will give us). Not just because my mom wants some rain to "dust everything off."
But because I LOVE the rain! It makes me so happy. so I decided that I
was going to allow myself to have a lazy rainy day (who knows how many
of those there will be this year) and not feel guilty about not watching
the game.

Muffin was excited for the rain too. |

For once I had formal Super Bowl plans this year! My cousin was doing a combination going-away party/Super Bowl party, so we went over for that and ate many foods. It was fun, but I can definitely see the appeal of having a lazy rainy day with lovely soup.
