I took a sort of blogging respite after Thanksgiving. It wasn't planned, it just happened. I read a lot in that time and got a second job and had things like that going on. Oh and I tried acupuncture for the first time and had a great experience.
I had a birthday, hung out with family, and am working on going back to school.
I can't wait to share the ridiculously full shelf of books I received for my birthday/Christmas. My friends and family know me so well. The actually overwhelmed my library so much that I had to add a new bookshelf (which became a carpentry project of sorts that I will share soon as well). I was hoping to have them up by now but I have been participating in a little too much of the following lately...
This shouldn't be as much fun as it is. http://t.co/LJR9FVAfuo

I have put together a few goals/resolutions for 2015 and shockingly enough they are almost all book related. Crazy! It essentially all boils down to: read more, track my reading more thoroughly, read more diversely, and read mostly from my own shelves. We will see how long I can pull this off.

Making cats chase lasers is one of the greatest joys in this life. We introduced my enormous doofy puppy to a wind-up black mouse toy this year, and she absolutely loves it. She runs all over the place after it, and when you put it on a shelf to prevent her from becoming overenthusiastic and breaking it, she just sits and stares at it soulfully for ten minutes. Oh pets.
Jenny- HA! I love it. Pets can be too smart for their own good. My cat has come to know the sound of the laser click and goes nuts before she even sees it. I love puppies with animal toys, a mouse must be adorable.
Hannah super loves chasing after her laser pointer. I pull it out at night to get her tired out before bed and it is so funny to see her racing around the house.
Your goals sound a lot like mine as well--except the read more. I've been trying not to stress out about reading ALL the things the past couple of years. But more diversely, from own shelves, more thoroughly. Yipes. Happy new year Jess!
